Book(s)

The accidental writer

In late 2011, I quit my last corporate job. I then spent most of 2012 figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. By January 2013, I was still looking but decided it was time to start doing something. And that something was writing on a blog. Thousands of posts later, I decided I would actually write a book I had been thinking about for years on my life in Russia. Nothing fancy, just my firs hand experience of the place back then.

I wrote and (self-)published the book in 2020, back when there nothing else much to do. I believe I gave away more copies and I sold, but who’s counting? Then, a little while ago, I started teaching at a luxury school in Paris. One of the school’s founders also ran a luxury news website, to which I started contributin g— i.e. blogging in style. One thing led to another and I contributed a section on his latest book on luxury trends, focusing in my case on tech, unsurprisingly.

So there you have it: two books of sorts to date, more to come if my kids let me…
